This speculative branding concept explores the visual identity for a fictional health access collective operating at the intersection of citizen science, activism, and medical democratization. The project challenges conventional healthcare branding norms by fusing street art aesthetics with precision-driven scientific imagery.

Objective: Create a brand identity that reflects the collective's mission to democratize access to medicines, medical technology, and healthcare knowledge, while appealing to tech-savvy, counter-culture audiences at risk for predatory misinformation and pseudoscience due to inaccessibility of high quality peer reviewed health knowledge.

Key Insights:

  1. Traditional medical branding often feels sterile and exclusionary

  2. There's a growing movement towards open-source healthcare solutions

  3. Visual cues from hacker culture: move fast break barriers, not bank accounts

Design Approach: By juxtaposing gritty, street-inspired visuals with clean, precise logos, this concept aims to embody the collective's ethos of 'knowledge wants to be free' while maintaining the credibility necessary for life sciences branding.

This case study demonstrates the versatility of my design skills and my ability to create cohesive branding that pushes boundaries while remaining true to the core mission of the organization.
