Reactive Digital Waves ASCII Blue
When planning this websites redesign I considered a new kind of calm water element hero image to welcome new visitors. The first hero had a great reflecting pool presence with a vintage tinge of turn of the 20th century art nouveau, borrowing letterforms from kindred autodidact William Morris (b.1834 – d.1896) paired with Scheel's Green and gold combo.
What might that kind of hero look like reoriented towards the future? Old web stylings are creeping back in to popularity. After exploring a few options, one I landed on and liked is here: Playful calming bobbing ASCII, in blue.
Ultimately doesn't feel like me, but it was fun to learn and the result is delightful. Easy integration with Wix. Scales clean. Web browser compatible reacts in both desktop w/ mouse and mobile w/ touch. Check it out below.
HOW TO USE:

On mobile, drag a finger or stylus over it. Tap to cause ripples like pebbles in a stream.
